Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Robotic Surgery)
Location: York, PA

Shift: Day | 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with strong robotic surgery expertise to join a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center. This role requires the ability to function independently across multiple surgical specialties, with a strong preference for RNs who can both scrub and circulate.

Pre-Screen Process

• Candidates will be reviewed by the clinical team to determine clinical fit.

• If clinically approved and within WellSpan guidelines, the candidate will be forwarded to the hiring manager for final decision.

• Clinical screens will be conducted case-by-case.

• Manager interview required.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years recent OR experience

• Trauma Experience:

  • Level I Trauma experience preferred

  • Minimum Level II Trauma experience required (greater than 1 year)

• Previous travel experience: Required

• Robotic Surgery:

  • Must be fully proficient and able to function independently with DaVinci Xi robot

  • Familiarity with DaVinci DV5 is a strong plus

  • Only DaVinci Xi and DV5 robots are used at this facility

  • Experience with other robotic systems (ortho/neuro) is not applicable

Required Clinical Competencies

Must be able to function independently in all of the following specialties:

• Robotics

• Orthopedics

• General Surgery

• GYN

• Urology

• Bariatrics

• ENT

• Plastics

• Vascular

• Thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart)

• Trauma

Scheduling & Requirements

• Weekends: 3–4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix

  • May include day, evening, or night shifts

• Holidays: As required by department needs

  • May include day, evening, or night shifts

• Call: 2–3 call shifts within a 6-week matrix

  • 30-minute call-back response required

• Floating: Not required
