Interventional Cardiology opening in the Houston metro area Located in The Woodlands, TX - part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area Full-time, permanent opening Employed position Joining an established, growing Cardiology practice Mentorship support avaialble Office is approximately 6300 square feet 1:3 weekend call schedule, STEMI Prefer a start date ASAPResponsibilities: Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills Coordinate discharge planning with case management Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients Accept patient referrals from other physicians Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedulesRequirements: Experience preferred, but open to newly graduated fellows Training in Echo, Nuclear, TEEs desirable Required proficiency in pacemaker implants Preferred proficiency with defibrillators and peripheral vascular work Preferred proficiency in extremity support for vascular access and/or lower extremityCompensation/Benefits: Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision Relocation assistance Paid occurrence based malpractice insurance Vacation and CME annually Annual CME allowance
