Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 2-3 holiday requirements from Thanksgiving to New Year's
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 25-bed unit
• Two days of unit-specific orientation required
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Floating required to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients
• Care for Med/Surg tele patients including strokes, stable neurological deficits, post neurosurgery procedures
• Common patient diagnoses include joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia
• Titrate drips including Heparin, lidocaine, ketamine, and PCA pumps
• Work with EPIC charting system
• Focus on hourly rounding, responsiveness, and managing multiple discharges and admissions daily
• Serve diverse patient population including Spanish, Karen, and Burmese speaking patients
• Travel experience preferred but will consider strong candidates without
• No license or background hits allowed
