The role includes full-time clinic coverage, operating room time, and occasional outreach with a focus on advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques. This hospital is part of a larger healthcare system based out of Wausau. The facility is a level 3 trauma center providing comprehensive urological services to the community with modern facilities and collaborative medical teams.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Urology
Job Details:
• Start date: December 1, 2025
• Coverage needed primarily from December to April 202, with intermittent needs thereafter
• System call based out of Wausau 7-10 days per month including one weekend
• Full-time clinic coverage with 16 patient encounters per shift
• 2-3 days of OR time (36 hours per week, days/time flexible)
• May include 1-2 days per month outreach to Wisconsin Rapids
• General adult urology services required
• Preferred skills include advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgeries, and various specialized procedures
• Experience with ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and pelvic node dissection preferred
• Robotic surgery experience preferred, including partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound
• Experience with TRUS biopsies, fertility work-up, and incontinence procedures beneficial
• Knowledge of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Board certification required
• 90-day credentialing timeframe
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging
