An Emergency Medicine Physician provides urgent medical care in a Level 4 trauma facility, managing emergency cases with support from specialized hospital staff and available consultations. The role involves shift work covering day and night hours, requiring certifications in ACLS, ATLS or CALS, and stroke care, alongside compliance with credentialing and vaccination protocols. The physician coordinates patient transfers as needed and utilizes the EPIC EMR system within a high-volume emergency room setting.
Travel is included: air, rental car or mileage if driving. The facility has call rooms,

Hours: 8A-9P or 7P-8A
Annual ER volume 7,900
EMR is EPIC
Facility is Level 4 trauma
Typical timeline for credentialing is 90 days
Support Staff/Services: In house Hospitalist always staffed. Hospitalists are responsible
for admissions
Sanford one call for e-backup available, Amwell for Neuro consults, Peds
provider and general surgeon on call 24/7
Radiology in house 7am - 11pm (on call with
20-minute response time from 11pm - 7am)
Transfers: Sanford Fargo or Altru in Grand

Life Certifications needed: ACLS, ATLS or CALS w/ trauma module (waive for ABEM and
can demonstrate having at one time)

COVID-19 vaccination required
