Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring a current state license and a minimum of 1 year of home health experience.
Responsibilities
- Home Health setting serving geriatric and wound care patients
- Service areas include multiple counties such as Sonoma, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Joaquin/Stanislaus, and Sacramento
- Minimum of 23-24 visits per week required for full-time hours
- Day shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Charting is completed in clinic using Kinnser/Wellsky EMR and cannot be taken home
- May be asked to cover surrounding counties as needed
- Main responsibilities focus on patient-centered care and quality documentation
- Clinicians are expected to be punctual, self-directed, and efficient with charting using a provided tablet
- All RTO must be submitted during initial consideration; no changes permitted after offer
- Free residential parking provided
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Any color scrubs with closed-toe shoes are acceptable attire
- Standard contract length is 4-6 months; clinicians with less experience must commit to 6 months
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy state license required if applicable with no license hits
- Minimum of 1 year experience in home health and 2 years overall as a clinician
- Current BLS certification required
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- Covid vaccination required with declination allowed for religious reasons; flu declination accepted with documentation
- OASIS experience preferred
- All required compliance documents must be completed before starting
- No pending licenses accepted at time of consideration
