Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with Michigan licensure and experience in outpatient, acute, and long-term care settings.
Responsibilities
- Work in a physical therapy unit covering outpatient, acute, and long-term care patients
- Patient populations include geriatric and orthopedic cases
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- The position involves 8-hour day shifts
- Evaluate patients, develop individualized care plans, and use modalities or hands-on therapy to increase mobility and manage pain
- Communicate and coordinate with rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines to provide continuity of care
- Responsible for generating progress reports and discharge summaries
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established infection-control policies
- Assist with patient scheduling and quality assurance initiatives within the Rehabilitation Services department
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist program
- Current State of Michigan Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience treating patients in outpatient, acute, and long-term care settings required
- Geriatric and orthopedic experience is preferred
