Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Provide bedside nursing care in the intensive care unit setting
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans
• Carry out medical orders and evaluate effectiveness of care plans
• Must be comfortable floating to Emergency Department and Step-down units
• Work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Delegate to and oversee Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, and other support staff
• Participate in patient conferences and discharge/transfer planning
• Provide patient and family education regarding ongoing care and discharge needs
• Mentor new employees and students
• Function as team leader for patient placement and assignment delegation
• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN
• Travel experience preferred
• Neurosurgical and open heart experience preferred
• Michigan nursing license required
