Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our team in the Fortuna, CA area. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Anesthesiology and either hold or be willing to obtain a California medical license. The role primarily involves providing anesthesia for adult patients, with very minimal pediatric cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and manage patients throughout surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as necessary to ensure patient stability and comfort.
- Provide post-operative care and pain management, including the administration of appropriate medications.
- Engage in preoperative assessments and consultations with patients to determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and standards.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) to stay current with best practices and advancements in anesthesiology.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Anesthesiology.
- Valid California medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Extensive experience in administering anesthesia for adult patients, with minimal pediatric exposure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
