This locum tenens hospitalist position in Oregon requires physicians licensed in the state to provide internal medicine coverage in a hospital setting, working a mix of day, swing, and night shifts. Providers will manage low acuity ICU care without performing procedures, using EPIC EMR, with ongoing assignments beginning in January. The role demands flexibility in shift scheduling and compliance with COVID and flu vaccination requirements.
Looking for good continuity of coverage at least 5-7 days in a row Shift Times Days 7a-5p, nights 7p-7a, Swings 12p-10p (2nd night at Emanuel is 10p-6p) 10 rounders, 1 swing, 2 night shifts; Sam- 7 rounders, 1 swing, 1 night shift On average rounders see 13-14, swings and nights do 3-6 admits EPIC for EMR No procedures OR Licensed Day shifts required day shifts are either 10 or 12 hrs and decided prior to arrival onsite Providers that will work swing on occasion preferred- 12p-10p, 6p-2a paid at 10 hour 5 day rounders, 1 swing (adding another) 1 night shift 115 beds EPIC for EMR No procedures they do some ICU work but Hospitalists cover low acuity care in ICU do not admit to ICU When speaking with day providers, please ask if they are able to do a mix of days/swings. This helps them out and is a good candidate selling point! Providers will be submitted to both locations Need at least 3 FTE's (between the locations) starting January, Dates will be ongoing, but if the providers cannot work starting in January, please do not send No procedures required, but need to be able to work in a fast pace Hospitalist program EPIC Full Travel Providers need to be vaccinated for COVID and Flu, no exemptions given for locums
