We are looking for an Assembly Operator I to join our team in Fairview, NC and help us manufacture relays and switches for the aerospace industry. This position will be full-time on a 1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm.
What You’ll Do
Assemble components using microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures according to work instructions
Inspect your work using quality standards and work instructions
Conduct pull tests as needed for specific operations
Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices
Inspect products to ensure they meet blueprints and specifications
Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain product traceability
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed
Maintain housekeeping and organization of the work area
Adhere to TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures
Follow safety guidelines and company policies
Read and perform tasks according to drawings
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
Must be proficient in and able to understand written instructions in English
Must be able to operate machinery and move between work zones
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Good communication skills
High school diploma or GED
Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills
Ability to interpret product blueprints
Experience using measuring devices (e.g., gauges, calipers)
Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties
Availability to work overtime to support production goals as needed
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer or with hand tools, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with team members in person and through written documentation
Sedentary work that involves remaining stationary most of the time with occasional movement around the facility
Ability to operate machinery and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity

$17.61 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
