The assignment spans select dates from January through June, offering a dynamic schedule in a specialized hospital environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide neuro trauma and critical care management for hospitalized patients
- Perform low to moderate risk procedures, including laceration repair, IV access/insertion (peripheral line), and fracture/dislocation reductions (minimal to moderate displacement)
- Conduct high risk procedures such as G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, and central/arterial line placement
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all care provided in compliance with hospital protocols
- Maintain a high standard of patient safety and quality care
Additional Information
- Active California NP license and DEA required
- Board certification in Critical Care Medicine (ANCC/AANP) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred but not mandatory
- Clean malpractice history required
- The role does not include surgical assistance
- Availability for all scheduled dates at time of name clear is required
- Substantial experience in neurosurgery and/or neurocritical care preferred
