Opportunity:
RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float to all Pediatric units in SJCH including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have required experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Skills include anti-seizure medications, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Block schedule requests require manager approval based on unit needs
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Must be available for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
• Non-billable modules averaging 4 hours must be completed pre-start
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
