This role is for a Senior Travel Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) providing 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week travel assignment. The position requires an RN licensed in New York State with PACU and medical/surgical experience, relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS/PALS), leadership skills, and the ability to operate clinical equipment and respond to safety concerns. The nurse is expected to deliver quality patient care, perform leadership duties such as charge nurse roles, and respond promptly when on call within a 100-mile radius.

12hr Days - weekend, holiday and call required

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current NYS RN license
Previous PACU experience required.
BLS required
ACLS/ PALS required
Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
Experienced RN will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.
Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Knowledge in the use of typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in and OR/ASU setting.
Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
On call required (Response time of 60 minutes).
