The Consumer & Market Insights Student Program at Stellantis offers students year-round, project-oriented experience in consumer research to support brand, product, and marketing strategies. Participants gain hands-on exposure to qualitative and quantitative research methods while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This opportunity fosters skill development in research design, data analysis, storytelling, and applying insights to influence business decisions in the automotive industry.
STUDENT PROGRAM FORMAT:
This student program will follow an in-person model. Students will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI and are expected to work on-site 3 to 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Students are expected to work 24 hours per week, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Candidates who are selected for the program will work with their manager to determine a consistent weekly work schedule where candidates fulfill the 24-hour requirement, while balancing their class schedule. During the summer months, student employees may potentially work 40 hours per week. This determination will be at management’s discretion. Applications are accepted year-round, and student program cohorts start on a quarterly basis in January, April, June, and September, and students are intended to stay in the program until graduation.

To strengthen our commitment to Customer Centricity, where every decision is informed by deep insights into customer behaviors, motivations and expectations, we are seeking a Consumer & Market Insights Student Program candidate to support our efforts in Brand, Product and Marketing Research. As a Consumer & Market Insights Intern Research Manager, you will support the design,
execution, and analysis of a variety of consumer insights projects that help guide business strategy and product development.
This role is ideal for a curious, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about understanding consumer behavior and turning data into meaningful stories that inform key business decisions. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methods — including focus groups, surveys, ethnography, and concept testing — while collaborating closely with experienced researchers, designers, engineers, and marketers.
The position provides an excellent opportunity to learn how insights influence strategy, develop research and storytelling skills, and contribute to real-world projects that shape the future of mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end research projects, assisting with survey design, data collection, vendor coordination, and results analysis.
- Collaborate with senior researchers to design research plans that address key business questions and translate stakeholder needs into actionable objectives.
- Assist with qualitative research (e.g., focus groups, interviews, ethnography) and quantitative research (e.g., surveys, data analysis, dashboards).
- Analyze and synthesize findings, helping transform data and observations into meaningful insights, implications, and recommendations.
- Help create reports and presentations that clearly communicate insights to a variety of audiences, including visual and storytelling-based formats.
- Contribute to internal process improvements by helping test or document new tools, templates, or research techniques that improve team efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with internal teams such as design, engineering, brand, and marketing to observe how research informs decision-making.
- Support knowledge sharing by organizing research archives, summaries, or learnings to help team members quickly access past insights.
