Requirements

  • Operate and manage the women’s health section of radiology, ensuring high-quality mammography exams
  • Perform diagnostic mammography procedures according to department protocols and radiologist direction
  • Maintain and complete daily QA checks and preventative maintenance scheduling for imaging equipment
  • Adhere to FDA guidelines and ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness
  • Provide compassionate patient education, obtain informed consent, and verify patient identity
  • Document accurate patient records in the EHR, including study histories and required paperwork
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers when outside maintenance is needed
  • Contribute to structured reporting, audit tracking, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; support clerical duties and patient transportation as needed
  • Demonstrate flexibility by covering other modalities, taking call, and adjusting schedules for patient needs

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
  • ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) (required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and any required health clearances
  • Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT and MRI
  • Preferred experience with PACS and RIS/HIS electronic records
  • Ability to demonstrate independent judgment, strong communication, and a team-oriented mindset
