Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring telemetry skills and trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 39-bed, mixed-acuity facility with medical, surgical, and stepdown patients
- Patient population is primarily elderly but includes adults as young as 18
- RN patient ratios are 4:1 or 5:1 depending on acuity
- Requires experience with administration of Cardizem and Amiodarone
- 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotations are required
- Role includes providing care for mixed-acuity Med/Surg and stepdown patients
- Care responsibilities include telemetry monitoring and specialized cardiovascular medication administration
- Must be able to work rotating holidays and every other weekend
- First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required (proof of state residency needed)
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a similar setting required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with telemetry required
- BLS certification required
- Experience administering Cardizem and Amiodarone required
- No local candidates accepted; must live more than 75 miles from facility
