Immediate Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor - Long Term Care contract opportunity with our LTC facility in Truth or Consequences, NM.
Pay:
- $2,830 (Travel pay package)
- Local pay package available
- 6:00am - 6:00pm (Days)
- 6:00pm - 6:00am (Nights)
- 36/48 alternating weekly guarantee
- 14 weeks to start (with option to extend)
- This role is essential in providing leadership, oversight, and clinical expertise to the nursing team, while also serving as a key liaison between staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers
- The RN Supervisor is responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring that standards of care are met, and that documentation is accurate and timely
- Additionally, this position plays a critical role in training and mentoring nursing staff, managing day-to-day clinical operations, and responding to medical or administrative emergencies
- Provide direct supervision and clinical oversight to licensed nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of nursing care
- Coordinate nursing activities and implement nursing standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered care aligned with medical orders, individualized care plans, and state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines
- The candidate must possess an active, unrestricted RN license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing or by a compact state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity, is typically required
- This position requires advanced knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulations, as well as a strong understanding of federal and state compliance standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CMS
- The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and has the ability to manage nursing operations, supervise staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with veteran-specific care needs are essential
