American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent CT or Xray experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and BLS for a night shift contract in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital with a CT/Xray department equipped with 4 CT rooms, GE VCT 64 slice and GE Revolution 128 slice scanners
- Additional imaging modalities within the department include MRI, Xray, Nuc Med, US, IR, and Mammo
- Night shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Will float to CT, Xray, OR, Endo, and ED as needed
- Imaging studies and procedures are varied per department needs
- EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS are used; experience preferred
- Call and standby requirements are varied
- Supervisor staff create the schedules; block and self-scheduling are not guaranteed
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas; refusal to remove artificial nails will result in contract termination
- Radiation badge is provided by employer
- Department values flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and work as a team
- Candidates must not be current full time, part time, or PRN employees with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and limited to 7 days per 13-week contract
- Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
- 1-2 orientation shifts are provided at start
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT or Xray experience required
- Active ARRT (CT) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience operating GE CT scanners required
- Experience with EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
- Driver’s license required for consideration and to verify residence outside 50-mile radius
- Must provide 2 professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
