This position is for a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) providing specialized perioperative care in a Level 1 trauma academic medical center. The role offers flexible 10-hour night shifts over a 13-week travel assignment, with comprehensive benefits including housing, medical coverage, and licensure reimbursement. Unit Specifics Number of Beds : 766 licensed beds Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 35 OR’s – 25 in block currently with 1 dedicated Trauma emergency room, 1 hybrid room Type of equipment : we have a large number of equipment specific to each specialty. We do not have a burn unit in the hospital and we do not do VAD’s, Heart transplant or lung transplants we do most other procedures Documentation system: OR Manager Scheduling requirements: all of our travelers work 1:3 weekends. We can accommodate 4 10 hour shifts in a row or 5 8 hour shifts. Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes. Traditionally OR staff do not float to other areas Patient Experience requirements: We treat our patients like family. Each patient is met in the pre-op area and greeted.
