American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 2 years of IR experience and active WV or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in an Interventional Radiology unit at a short-term acute care hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Primary shift is 4x10hr days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) on weekdays
- On-call rotation required every 5th weekend, with additional on-call responsibilities discussed during interview
- Potential for floating to an affiliated general lab as needed
- Cerner is used for electronic medical records and prior experience is preferred
- Specialized procedures include Angiogram, Fistulogram, Permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, Mechanical Thrombectomy, and Embolization
- Provide specialized care in Interventional Radiology for a variety of complex diagnoses including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
- Participate in a major teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have the required IR experience
- Classroom and unit-based orientation provided during the first two days
- No blocked schedules will be accommodated
- Past permanent employees must wait two years after last employment to return as a traveler
- Free parking available for travelers
- Active WV or compact RN license required by start date
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience with Interventional Radiology experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must provide two recent manager or charge references from the past two years
- Must be able to wear royal blue or white scrubs as per dress code
- Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (75-99 miles requires special approval)
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless documented medical exemption is provided
