Job Opportunity: Locum Radiation Oncologist in Muskegon, MI
The Johnson Family Cancer Center in Muskegon offers an exciting opportunity for FULL TIME Radiation Oncologists. This free-standing cancer center, part of a level 2 trauma designation hospital, is looking for coverage starting February 2026 due to physician turnover. The facility promotes a collaborative environment where the locums will share a patient load with an internal physician, ensuring comprehensive patient care and oversight.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient caseload, seeing approximately 10-15 outpatients per day.
- Conduct consults and minor procedures while covering routine clinical operations.
- Utilize a variety of radiation therapy techniques including conventional, 3D, IMRT, and more.
- Order tests, images, and prescriptions as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Strong experience in conventional radiotherapy and advanced techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Michigan State License or IMLC/LOQ.
- BLS Certification is required.
