We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 1-week locum tenens hospitalist assignment in New Mexico. This opportunity begins on Jan 26, 2026, and features a 7 on, 7 off schedule with 24-hour call coverage. The role includes morning rounds followed by out-of-house call for the remainder of each shift, offering a dynamic and rewarding locum experience in a rural hospital setting.

Job Details

• Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician
• Schedule: 7 on, 7 off hospitalist coverage; 24-hour call shifts; mornings for rounds, followed by out-of-house call

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide hospitalist care for admitted patients during assigned shifts
• Conduct morning rounds and manage patient care plans
• Respond to inpatient needs and emergencies as they arise throughout the shift
• Take out-of-house call after rounds until the next morning
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support quality patient care
• Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and communication

Additional Information

• Current license to practice in New Mexico required
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
• Prior experience as a rural health hospitalist provider preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• NPDB documentation must be provided with the application
