Job Title: Neuro-Hospitalist (MD/DO)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Neuro-Hospitalist to provide specialized inpatient care for patients with neurological conditions. The Neuro-Hospitalist will manage acute and complex neurological cases, coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, neuro-infections, and neuromuscular disorders.
Perform and interpret neurological examinations, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests relevant to inpatient care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
Provide timely consultations to hospital teams, including critical care and surgical services.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and care teams.
Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education related to neurology and hospital medicine.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency in Neurology (or Internal Medicine with Neurology experience) and board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage complex inpatient neurological cases.
Work Environment:
Inpatient hospital setting, including ICU, step-down, and general medical floors.
