Job Details:
• Assess the needs of each patient before and during surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans specific to each surgical patient
• Provide leadership to the OR team during procedures
• Supervise activity in the operating room and anticipate schedule changes
• Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist anesthesia as necessary and monitor sterile field
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Epic experience highly preferred
• Michigan nursing license required
• Participate in staff development through in-services, educational meetings, and continuing education
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility (local candidates not considered)
