- Monday through Friday with rotating 1:3 night and weekend call
- Service typically no larger than 10 patients at a time
- Rounding in morning, typically 2 heart cases per day, 1 thoracic case in afternoon
- Typical hours 7am - 3pm with some late cases intermittently
- Responsible for rounding, discharge, disposition of care, floor calls/consults
- Working in OR for cardiac and thoracic cases
