Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a general surgery unit caring for renal and general medical patients, requiring a TN or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 21-bed general surgery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) and general medical patients aged 18 and older
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
- Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15
- Floating may be required to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length with potential for extension
- All required documentation must be provided for consideration, including references and license verifications
- Local candidates are accepted but will receive a reduced local rate based on facility-recognized radius rules
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year Med/Surg RN experience
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Primary source license verification via Nursys required within 30 days prior to start
- Must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address (no international addresses accepted)
