Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for night shifts, requiring at least 6 months of vascular and echo experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
- Patient care includes both vascular and echocardiographic imaging
- Occasional weekend day call and one weekend call every 6-7 weeks
- Identify normal and abnormal imaging results and communicate findings to physicians or other health professionals
- Alert physicians to urgent problems discovered during imaging
- Applicants living within 50 miles are considered local candidates and may be offered a reduced rate
- No more than 5 days of requested time off can be accommodated
- Former direct employees are not eligible to return through an agency until 6 months after leaving direct employment
- Orientation for allied travelers begins on Tuesdays
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience with vascular and echo procedures
- ARDMS certification required if applicable
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Ability to operate imaging equipment and review diagnostic images
