Work in a high-volume Heart & Vascular program with two Cath Labs and hands-on mentorship. PRN Day Shift Cardiovascular Technologist at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital; on-site in a Cath Lab supporting diagnostic/interventional coronary, peripheral and EP procedures. Ongoing clinical learning in a collaborative team. - Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy OR 5+ years’ related experience - RCIS or RCES certification (required within 12 months of hire) - BLS and ACLS required - ARRT preferred or FL CRT/ RRT/ RCIS/ RCES within 12 months if no degree - Ability to scrub assist and monitor invasive cardiac procedures

Responsibilities:

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position. 

Qualifications:

• Education
  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
  • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
    • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
    • • • • • • • -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
                • -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
                • -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
                • -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
                • -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
