Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents while patrolling government locations. This position involves both armed and driving responsibilities, requiring you to conduct routine patrols and remain visible to support a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and control access points, verifying identification and authorization of individuals entering restricted areas.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site protocols.
- Assist with crowd control and/or movement of individuals within the location as needed.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, or other critical events in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Carry and operate assigned firearms and/or security equipment in accordance with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
