Chief Estimator Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an electrical estimator in electrical construction.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing direct reports with an estimating emphasis.
Chief Estimator Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience using ConEST Intellibid software preferred.
- Familiarity with estimating low voltage systems such as nurse call, voice/data, security, and access control.
- Knowledge of estimating medium voltage and utility electrical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Chief Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of estimators to achieve company revenue targets.
- Develop and implement effective training methods and procedures.
- Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to determine best value.
- Review bidding opportunities and manage department workload efficiently.
- Deliver accurate proposals through various methods, including design/build and pre-construction budgeting.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management team to design and implement company initiatives.
