Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ambulatory internal medicine and family medicine assignment in Massachusetts, requiring Epic experience and a current MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Ambulatory clinic setting in internal medicine and family medicine
- Primary care and pediatric patient population
- Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 5 shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate if residing within 50 miles
- Duties include floor nursing, medication administration, patient teaching, nurse-only visits, vaccines, telephone triage, follow-up calls, and managing Epic portal inquiries
- Blue scrubs are recommended but not required
- No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
- Returning permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers
- A minimum of two professional references from the past 12 months is required for consideration
Requirements
- Active MA RN license or MA temporary license required and must be valid through assignment
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient ambulatory experience required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient or acute care experience required
- At least 6 months of telephone triage experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Certifications cannot expire within 30 days of assignment start
- COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical and religious exemptions accepted
