Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Ortho Neuro unit night shift position, requiring a KS or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position located in an orthopedic and neurological surgery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Level 1 trauma environment
- Provide care to patients recovering from orthopedic and neuro surgical procedures
- Holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs
- Dress code and scrub color requirements are determined by the unit
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Local candidates are accepted but may be paid at a reduced rate per facility radius rule
- Only one application to the health system is allowed at a time
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Nursys verification and current license verification needed within 30 days prior to start
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- MOAB De-Escalation Training preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and a US home address
