The Nephrology Physician will manage patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and electrolyte disorders through outpatient care, collaborating with primary care providers to ensure comprehensive treatment. The role requires an MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology and an active Florida medical license. Strong communication and a patient-centered approach are essential as patient volume is expected to increase with specialty service expansion.
Schedule:
- Initially 1 2 days per week, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM.
- Patient volume is expected to grow as specialty services expand.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Nephrology.
- Active Florida medical license.
- Experience in outpatient nephrology and chronic disease management.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, and electrolyte disorders.
- Review high or abnormal GFR lab results and develop appropriate treatment and monitoring plans.
- Collaborate with primary care providers on preventive kidney care and comorbidity management.
- Provide education on renal diet, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
