TransForce is seeking CDL-A (Direct Hire) Drivers to support Regional operations based in Sterling, VA..

Direct Hire : This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

CDL-A Direct Hire Driver Details: 

• Schedule: Company operates 7 days per week but drivers will typically work a 5-day week / 1st Shift / regional & local routes
• Pay: $25-$30 per hour
• Route Type: Residential & commercial moving
• Freight / Load Type: Furniture, moving boxes, etc.   
• Equipment: CDL-A tractor trailer, dry van, automatic
• Handling: Heavy touch

CDL-A Direct Hire Driver Minimum Requirements: 

• License: CDL-A  
• Experience: at least 1-2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience. prefers candidates  with some moving company experience if possible
• Endorsements: None
• Equipment Experience: CDL-A tractor trailer experience, moving company experience preferred
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-A Driver Responsibilities: 

• Safely operate equipment on regional or local routes
• Transport items for residential & commercial moving jobs mainly east of Mississippi River and sometimes as far as Texas in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
• Heavy touch position, drivers must assist with loading/unloading, will have a crew of 1-5 helpers depending on the size of the job.
