What You’ll Do
As a PCU RN, you’ll care for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a standard Med-Surg or Telemetry unit. You’ll deliver evidence-based nursing care using the ANA Standards and Nursing Process—serving as an advocate, educator, and technical expert for your patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Monitor complex patients and manage advanced equipment and technology
- Educate patients and families on self-care and recovery
- Collaborate across disciplines to promote safe, high-quality outcomes
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted RN license (state of permanent residence)
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- ACLS within 12 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification obtained during orientation
Schedule & Environment
- Day, evening, or night shifts available
- Weekend and holiday rotations per department need
- Overtime as required for patient acuity and census
