Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of nursing leadership, the Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care during assigned shifts, including:
- Receiving and reviewing shift reports to ensure continuity of care
- Monitoring residents’ conditions, behaviors, symptoms, and progress, and communicating findings to nursing leadership
- Administering and documenting medications in accordance with physician orders, policies, and Department of Health regulations
- Performing treatments per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborating with the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse on medication or treatment changes
- Ordering medications, coordinating with pharmacy services, and ensuring accuracy of medications and dosages
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- BSN preferred
