Experienced Ophthalmologist needed for a 92-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri through Barton Associates. This opportunity requires a specialist in Children's Eye Care, comfortable with strabismus and NICU rounding. The assignment begins on 06/01/2026, with a clinic schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm, NICU rounding on Wednesdays, and OR duties on Fridays. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Epic EMR and licensed in Missouri. This role offers a blend of clinical, surgical, and on-call responsibilities, providing comprehensive eye care for pediatric patients. There is potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period. Job Details: Location: Missouri Start Date: 06/01/2026 LOA: 92 days Provider Type Needed: Ophthalmologist (Children's Eye Specialist) Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (8am-4pm), Wednesday (NICU rounding), Friday (OR 7am-2pm) Responsibilities and Duties: Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care for pediatric patients Perform strabismus procedures and treatments Conduct NICU rounds and provide on-call coverage Sign off on orthoptics charts Operate in the OR one day per week Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures Maintain high standards of patient care and safety Additional Information: Missouri medical license required Experience in pediatric ophthalmology preferred Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules Strong communication skills for effective patient and family interactions Apply now to learn more!
