Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in New York with a night shift schedule and Epic charting experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shifts, 4x12 hours per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Patient population includes med/surg and telemetry cases
- Floating to other units required as needed
- Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
- Core responsibilities include providing direct nursing care and monitoring on a combined Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start date
- A maximum of 3 called-off shifts are allowed per 13-week assignment, including any shifts where placed on-call
- Holiday and weekend shift coverage may be required
- First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Candidates who were previously employed at the facility must have at least a 1-year gap before reapplying
