Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical, obstetric, and other medical procedures, requiring proficiency in advanced anesthesia techniques and various certifications. This locum tenens role in St. Albans, VT involves working in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a call frequency of once per week and requires active Vermont licensure and DEA registration. The position supports diverse case types including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and more under partial physician supervision.
Licensing: Must have active VT license to begin application
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Temps Available: With clean background and malpractice history
Certifications Required:
Mandatory: ACLS (AHA only), BLS, PALS, NRP
Licensure Requirement: DEA required
Schedule:
Standard: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Late Room: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Call: 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Call Frequency: 1x/week
Response Time: 30 minutes
Supervision Model: 60% supervision (MD involvement)
Case Types:
Orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, OB/GYN (380 deliveries/year), pediatrics
Urology, ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery
Includes C-sections and VBACs
Skills Required: Must be proficient in spinals, blocks, and epidurals
