This locum Tenens position is for an Interventional Radiologist specializing in vascular and interventional procedures at a Level II Trauma hospital in Albany, GA. The role includes diagnostic radiology duties when not performing interventional procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, and drain insertions, with required rapid response times during on-call periods. Candidates must hold an active GA license or be eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, be board-certified or eligible within five years, and be experienced in interventional radiology using EMR systems like Meditech.

Credentialing: Emergency privileges take 4 weeks with an active GA license
Start: 9/22
End: Ongoing through 2026
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM - Diagnostic when not doing IR
OR
Monday - Monday 8AM - 8AM (if provider wants to be on call)

endovascular or interventional radiology procedures for hemorrhage control must begin within 60 minutes of request
Patient Volume: Level II Trauma (60 min response time for call).
Procedures:
Light IR procedures:
CT & USG Biopsies
Para/Thoracentesis
Lumbar Punctures
Milligrams
Insert Drains and Chest Tubes
Nephrostomy in IR Suites
Embolization procedures for trauma patients
EMR: Meditech
License: GA license or will consider IMLC (they cannot start creds until GA is active so start this process ASAP if not active)
Certifications: BC or truly BE within 5 years
Relevant Experience: Interventional Radiology
