RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 38-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with daily census of 35 patients
• Patient ratio experience required for 5-6 patients
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Travel experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred but not required)
• Must be available to complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 6-8 hours)
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, IV insulin protocols, wound care, and managing various cardiac and vasoactive drips
