Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Physician (Near Annapolis, MD) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Internal Medicine - Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens position near Annapolis, MD. Key Details: Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Shift Schedule: Call coverage only 1:6 hospital weekend coverage of General Cardiology No inpatient or outpatient duties outside of scheduled call Practice Setting: Inpatient only Focused on weekend coverage Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per shift EMR System: Epic Job Responsibilities: Cardiology Care: Provide comprehensive cardiology care during weekend shifts. Manage patient admissions, rounding, and consultations within an inpatient setting. Focus on general cardiology with an emphasis on ensuring continuity of care during weekends. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care to patients. Engage with nursing staff, other physicians, and hospital administrators to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Credentialing and Privileges: Full credentialing and privileges must be obtained prior to starting. Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days. Certification and Licensing Requirements: Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Internal Medicine with a specialization in Cardiology. Fellowship in Cardiology is required. ACLS and BLS Certification: Required Maryland State License: Must be licensed to practice in the state of Maryland. Temporary privileges may be available to expedite the start date.
