Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Step-Down, Cardiac/Telemetry position with night shifts, requiring at least one year of intermediate care experience and a valid NJ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Hospital setting on the Cardiac/Telemetry Step-Down unit
- Patient population includes those requiring intermediate and cardiac telemetry care
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three shifts per week
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
- Responsible for providing evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
- Functions within a shared governance model, collaborating with all members of the healthcare team
- Embraces core values of professionalism, respect, involvement, dignity, and excellence
- Excellent communication and computer skills are required
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as part of the shift rotation
- All travelers may remain on assignment up to one year from initial start, with a mandatory 30-60 day break before any return
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care/Step-Down RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
