Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist for Labor and Delivery

Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) passionate about women's health? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Hull, TX. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the need is filled.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive labor and delivery care to a diverse patient population in a hospital setting.
• Provide expert management of labor, delivery, and postpartum care for expecting mothers.
• Actively monitor all obstetrical patients on the labor and delivery (L&D), antepartum, postpartum, and obstetric emergency department (OBED) units.
• Respond promptly to obstetrical emergencies and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, other physicians, and healthcare professionals within the hospital system.
• Participate in consultations for obstetric patients in the emergency department or any hospital-owned clinic upon request.
• Assist hospital OB-GYN physicians with surgical procedures when needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the hospital's electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Texas (TX) medical license or eligible for temporary licensure.
• Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is mandatory.
• Minimum of five years of experience in obstetrics is required.
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in labor and delivery, obstetric care, and emergency management.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams in high-stress situations.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Additional Considerations:

• This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with the ability to choose between 12 or 24-hour shifts.
• Patient volumes are high across multiple hospital locations (Kingwood, Clear Lake, and Woman's Hospital). However, Woman's Hospital is staffed with two OB-GYNs on duty, offering some relief in patient load.
• You will be expected to manage OBED patients and take unassigned patients in addition to your delivery responsibilities.
