The Nurse Practitioner in Pulmonology will diagnose, treat, and manage respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD in an outpatient setting. The role involves patient assessments, ordering and interpreting pulmonary diagnostic tests, prescribing medication, and providing patient education. This position offers a weekday-only schedule with a focus on collaborative, patient-centered care.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pulmonology to join our outpatient practice. This role focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of respiratory conditions in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and lung cancer
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and follow-up visits
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as spirometry, X-rays, and other pulmonary studies
Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment and care plans
Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and preventive care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Monday Friday schedule
All outpatient no inpatient rounding or hospital coverage
Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
Pulmonology experience or related specialty preferred
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
