CT Technologist - CT Tech
Job Details:
• Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance of position
• Perform radiographic/sonographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Exercise professional judgment in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within department and other areas
• Maintain patient records and files and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program
• Must be able to work with patients of all age groups from newborn to geriatric (70+ years)
• Must be willing and able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Must be able to perform duties in multiple imaging modalities including Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Mammography
• Rotate shifts as required and work well in stressful situations
• Current ARRT in Radiography OR Current ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN) required
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Must live at least 50+ miles away from facility address
• Perform mammography procedures including breast needle localization, specimen radiography, quality control, screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy
• Complete 5 CEUs in Mammography credits per year and perform 100 mammograms per year per ACR/FDA requirements
• Perform ultrasound examinations, MRI procedures, and CT/interventional procedures as assigned
• Assist with invasive procedures and maintain equipment care
• Follow standard precautions and alter protocols for different age groups
