Job DescriptionThe Operating Room (OR) team cares for a diverse array of patients, specializing in areas including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial surgery, and trauma in a Level 1 trauma center. The OR is equipped with two Davinci robots utilized across multiple surgical services, and the transplant program involves organ transplants such as livers, kidneys, and hearts.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating in various surgical specialties and ensuring high standards of patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Current RN License in New York State
- Two (2) years of experience in the Operating Room
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate in surgical procedures
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification is preferred
- Preferred surgical experience includes specialty cases such as transplants, plastics, and craniotomies, with a strong orthopedic background
