RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on medical surgical/telemetry floor with 24-bed unit capacity
• Daily census ranges from 15-18 patients
• Patient ratio experience of 4-6 patients required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
• Float within scope when needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 4 days of requested time off per 6 weeks
• Must make up time off at end of contract
• One pre-approved time off period allowed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, telemetry, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year experience required, will accept first-time travelers
• BSN preferred
• Virginia or compact state license required at time of submission
• Natural nail policy must be followed
• Skills include chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, starting and maintaining IVs
• Special procedures may include chest tube insertions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Manager interview required
• 2 references required
• Modules completed during orientation (average 6 hours, non-billable)
