The role is for a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician to join Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center's residency continuity clinic team in a full-time, outpatient hospital-employed position. The physician will supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents, provide evidence-based patient care, deliver didactic lectures, and participate in scholarly activities within an academic clinical environment. Overview
- Full-time hospital employed position
- 100% outpatient setting
- Serve as a clinical preceptor, supervising and mentoring Internal Medicine residents in their continuity clinic
- Guide residents in evidence-based patient care, professional development, and practice management
- Supervise residents in their documentation in the EMR, writing of orders, and articulation of care plans by reviewing resident notes and adding the appropriate addendums
- Provide two didactic lectures per year
- Complete annual evaluations
- Work in a collaborative, team-based academic environment with opportunities for scholarly activities
Qualifications
- Board-certified in the United States
- Must have completed residency in the United States
- A strong interest in teaching residents in an academic clinical setting
